May, Mother's Day, Money and Mary Kay

Swirly Handpainted Glass Mugs $10

It is May 2nd, and we woke up to snow this morning! Not a very spring/summer morning view, but hey, it is Minnesota.
I included a photo of some of my new swirly glass mugs, the ones shown are in turquoise and pink. As always, they are dishwasher safe and can be put in the microwave as well.
Mother's Day is May 12th, and a handpainted mug with some goodies would make a lovely gift! Feel free to contact me.
May has also got me thinking about money—we've come through the tax deadlines and people are already thinking summer vacations. What are your favorite money-saving tips? Feel free to comment and share your thoughts.
Also, with warmer weather soon to arrive—hopefully,—I will put on my Mary Kay beauty coat and would like to stress to you all to make sure your are protecting your skin! Many of our products have sunscreen in them, including the liquid foundation, Timewise day solution, and the foundation primer. But with UV rays always present, we also have great sunscreens available in SPF 30 and 50 along with a lip protector that has SPF 15. http://www.marykay.com/jennymaroney

Feeling a little Fierce?

I was on a zoo animal kick yesterday. I started by drawing the basic elephant you see towards the bottom, and then I got a little carried away with the panda and my fierce Tiger. So fun! I think there will be more to this, but for now, just some happy zoological doodles.

As sunny as your disposition...

This phrase just popped into my head today. And it is all about attitude. Which, ironically enough totally works with the weather today. It is bright and sunshiney and about 6ยบ, not a warm day by any stretch of the imagination, but it certainly looks good!

As it is with our attitudes, sometimes the 'fake it until you make it' rings true, because if you walk around smiling and acting happy and positive, sooner or later you will feel that way, it is pretty hard to not be positive even if you start out not really feeling that way.

And yes, this is a caricature I did of our dog Odie. He is the complete package of determined happiness. You cannot look at this face every day and not smile. Just don't look at all the fur you will need to vacuum up.
